    Thiele Geotech, Inc. is founded by Dan Thiele as a one-man shop and grows to 8 employees in its first year. The firm is originally located at 40th Street & Cuming Street in Omaha, NE.

    New Facility

    Due to rapid growth, Thiele Geotech moves operations to a new facility at 13478 Chandler Road in Centech Business Park, Omaha. The company expands from 3,000 to 12,000 square feet.

  • Merger

    Thiele Geotech, Inc. merges with Great Plains Testing Laboratories, which was originally established in 1985.

    The company’s soil and concrete labs earn national accreditation from AASHTO and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

  • Recognition

    The Omaha Chamber of Commerce names Thiele Geotech the 10th fastest growing company in the city.

    Facility Expansion

    The Chandler Road location is expanded by another 6,000 square feet, increasing the total to 18,000 square feet.

  • Team Growth

    Thiele Geotech’s staff grows to 54 employees, including engineers, geologists, and technical/support professionals.

    Thiele Geotech receives the Golden Spike Award from the Sarpy County Economic Development Corporation for contributions to the county’s growth.

  • Flood Response Services

    The firm provides critical flood response support during the historic 90-day flood along the Missouri River, assisting the City of Omaha, Omaha Airport Authority, and others.

    Campus Expansion

    A second building is added to the Chandler Road campus, bringing the total space to over 23,000 square feet. Drilling operations are relocated to the new facility, which also includes a training and conference center.

    Thiele Geotech adds instrumentation expertise to its growing portfolio of geotechnical services.
